Frequently Asked Questions
General Questions
- Can you help with handling an appliance replacement?
Yes, we can help. We handle the entire gas appliance replacement process, from removing the old unit and installing the new one, to officially notifying the licensed distributor (gas provider).
- How often should a gas appliance be maintained, and why is it important?
By law, a gas boiler must be serviced at least once a year. The safest approach is to carry out this work during the summer. This avoids long waiting times in September and ensures the boiler is ready for the heating season.
Regular inspections are crucial for safe and efficient operation and for preventing malfunctions. Neglecting maintenance not only poses safety risks but can also increase future repair costs.
- Why is annual maintenance important?
Safety: The combustion process and safety devices are checked to ensure the appliance operates safely.
Efficiency: Cleaning and adjustments improve the boiler’s efficiency and reduce heating costs.
Prevention: Regular inspections help identify and fix issues early, before they cause problems during the heating season.
Warranty: Regular maintenance is also a condition of the warranty, as specified in the warranty certificate.
Useful Information
- Why does an error code appear on the appliance even if there’s no real problem?
If letters such as “A,” “B,” or “C” appear on newer appliances with a display—sometimes accompanied by a service icon above the letter—or if there is an orange blinking light on older appliances, this is **not a fault**. It simply indicates that the appliance has reached a **service cycle** and needs to be checked by a professional to ensure continued trouble-free operation.
- What should I do if the gas boiler doesn’t turn on or won’t start?
If the boiler doesn’t turn on at all (no lights), first check the power supply.
If it doesn’t start but the thermostat indicates a heating demand, there are usually two possible causes:
1. The heating or hot water function may have been turned off on the appliance’s control panel.
2. In most cases, a third-party wireless thermostat may not trigger the appliance, even if it shows a heating demand. With Remeha appliances, there is almost no chance that the boiler itself is preventing heating if the thermostat is requesting it. - Mit tegyek, ha a kazán víznyomás alacsony?
Fontos a megfelelő víznyomás a készülékben, ugyanis sok mindenért felel. Amint visszatöltik megfelelő értékre a készülék újra indul éls eltűnik a hibaüzenet.
